The following organizations are dedicated to eradicating spyware:

StopBadWare.org – This group is backed by some big names n the computer industry such as Google, Sun Microsystems and Lenovo as well consumer’s groups and academia. Harvard Law’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society and Oxford University’s Internet Institute back this initiative to bring spyware and other malicious programs to a halt. Get involved!

The Anti-Spyware Coalition – A consumer action group who has teamed up with academia and the anti-spyware software industry to work together to get the spyware problem under control.

Get a Spyware & Computer Security Education

ITT Technical Institute – offers online classes in information security. You can get a Bachelor’s degree in this hot and exciting field from the comfort of your home. The course “Hacker Techniques, Tools and Incident Handling” will give you an understanding of how hacker’s break in to computer systems. By knowing what hackers know, you can begin to battle them.

PC Protection 101 – Free online class from - CNET teaches users how to protect PCs from spyware, viruses and worms, how to remove spyware and adware, reduce SPAM, create secure passwords and secure a wireless network.
