Spool 32

Spool32 is a 32-bit constituent that manages the spooling of print jobs for the operating system. Spooling is required for the computer to deal with the print job rapidly. Spool32 helps the computer to provisionally store the print job on the computer's hard drive before sending it to the printer for printing. This permits the computer to put back control of the computer system to the user much faster than if it had dealt with the total print task and then sent it directly to the printer. Spool32 is significant for the steady and safe running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Spool32 Errors

A spool32 error can be caused due to any of the following reasons:

·          As a result of third-party program being loaded.

·          Due to a corrupt printer driver.

·          As a result of third-party driver being loaded.

·          Due to the fact that the system includes data faults or concern with files.

A spool32 error will usually emerge when a user does something related to printing – for example altering the printer properties, sending out a print task, or screening the print line up. In a spool32 error message, the module part is very important. This is so because unless you know which module has clashed with spool32, it will be impossible to resolve the error. All spool32 errors do not emerge from the same problem. There can be a variety of reasons and all of them can be rectified only if you know the conflicting module.

The safest assumption is that if any module is at fault, then you must have got a corrupted file. If you are lucky enough, then the error can be fixed just by running a Scandisk and Defragmentation option. If it does not cure the problem, then you will need to remove spool32.exe and overwrite the old file with the one you pull out. A spool32 error, which originates from the printer, will always mention the printer’s name or at least its abbreviation in the error message. In that case, you will need to update the printer driver.

Scandisk is a Microsoft utility that is intended to verify the reliability of a computer hard disk drive to validate that there are no important issues, which could cause problem with your computer data. Through regular use of your computer, your hard disk tends to become disorderly and a bit untidy. Folders become cross-linked; file names contain void or unidentified characters or become spoiled. Scandisk can fix these problems. It amends spoiled files and helps you get back vacant disk space. It also checks your hard disk for substantial errors. If the error arises in a data storage area, it will displace the data and spot the spoiled area so that no data is stored there any more.

Defragmentation is a procedure that decreases the amount of fragmentation in file systems. This is done by physically rearranging the contents of the disk in order to store the portions of each file close together. It also tries to create larger sectors of free space. Some defragmenters also attempt to keep smaller files within a solitary directory jointly, as they are often accessed in series.

Fragmentation takes place when the operating system is not capable of allocating appropriate space to store a file as a single unit and instead stores it in bits and pieces as gaps between other files. Nowadays, large disk drives are available and as a result, the loss of performance due to fragmentation is also amplified. Loss of performance can also take place due to the rise in the number and size of the files. Defragmentation aims to reduce these problems.
